& Values
Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported here.
At Holding the Wild, we believe that birthwork is world-building. It’s a place where we reclaim our power, rewrite the story of our bodies, and resist systems that were never designed with us in mind.
This work is tender. It’s powerful. And it must be rooted in equity, consent, inclusion, and care.
This is what guides us:
Our Core Values
Queer-affirming & Trans-inclusive
We celebrate all gender expressions, family structures, and birth choices. This is a space where your identity will not just be respected—it will be centered.
Anti-racist & Justice-oriented
We are committed to dismantling white supremacy in birthwork and beyond. I continue to unlearn, listen, and adapt my work to ensure it supports collective liberation.
Health at Every Size & Body Liberation
All bodies are good bodies. We reject diet culture and size discrimination in birth spaces, and we support intuitive, compassionate relationships with your body—before, during, and after birth.
Trauma-aware & Consent-driven
Your “no” is sacred. Your pace matters. We strive to create a container where your boundaries are honored and you are never pressured into practices or conversations that don’t feel right for you.
Self-trust at the center
You are the expert on your body and your birth. I’m here to offer tools, not rules—to support you in finding your own power, not to dictate a path.
Accessibility
We are actively working to make Holding the Wild as accessible and inclusive as possible. Here’s what that looks like right now—and where we're still growing:
-
Online classes are offered over Zoom with the option to have cameras on or off.
-
Materials are provided in writing and verbally whenever possible.
-
Live captions can be enabled on Zoom for anyone who requests them.
-
Recordings of class sessions not available to keep the experience sacred for those attending. We will provide makeup sessions at a cost as needed.
-
Breaks and body movement are encouraged during sessions.
-
Neurodivergent-affirming practices are honored—stim toys, camera-off time, fidgeting, and note-free participation are all absolutely okay.
-
We welcome access needs or accommodation requests at any time and am happy to adjust however I can.
-
We provide advance notice of course flow to allow for meal, break, and body position planning.
If something isn’t working for you—please tell us. This space belongs to all of us. We will always do our best to meet your needs or connect you with someone who can.
Ongoing Commitment
I’m not perfect, but I’m here to grow. I seek feedback, stay in conversation with those most impacted by harm, and invest in continuing education to ensure this work remains accountable, grounded, and liberatory.
This is a living practice.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for being you.
