Birth Isn’t Just a Moment. It’s a Threshold.

Updated: Jun 16

At Holding the Wild, we don’t teach you how to “get through” birth—we guide you into it, with reverence.

We believe that every body deserves to be held, heard, and wholly honored on the path to parenthood. Especially those of us whose bodies, identities, or families have so often been left out of the birth conversation. That’s why our HypnoBirthing® classes were created specifically with queer families, trans and nonbinary birthing people, fat folks, BIPOC parents, and survivors in mind.

This isn’t mainstream birth prep in a pretty package. This is a return to your own power.

What is HypnoBirthing®?

HypnoBirthing® (the Mongan Method) invites you to connect with your body in a way that is radical in its gentleness: Through breath. Through nervous system regulation. Through deep trust.

You’ll learn how to soften into intensity, rewire fear-based conditioning, and prepare your mind and body to move through labor with intention and care. And just as important: you’ll be held in a community where all of who you are is not only welcome, but deeply respected.

These are intimate, live-taught classes for you and your partner (or partners, or solo, if that’s your journey), where no question is too tender, and no experience is too complex.

This Class Is for You If:

  • You want a birth that feels autonomous, not performative or directed.

  • You’re seeking birth education that honors queer joy, gender diversity, body sovereignty, and cultural nuance.

  • You’re not just preparing for a baby—you’re preparing for a rite of passage.

  • You crave a soft, smart, deeply inclusive space where you can exhale and be real.

Whether this is your first birth or your fifth, your body knows how to do this. We’re just here to help you remember.

You’re Not Getting a Class. You’re Getting a Circle.

We’ve designed this experience to be more than instructional. It's relational.

You’ll leave with:

  • A set of tools for labor that actually work with your nervous system.

  • A renewed sense of connection with your body (and your birth team).

  • A community of folks who get it—who know that birth can be sacred, fierce, and political all at once.

Step Into Your Birth. Fully.

We’re ready to hold space for you. If you’re ready to be held.

Join our next HypnoBirthing® Circle and begin preparing for birth in a way that feels like coming home to yourself.

Because birth doesn’t have to be something you survive.

It can be something you own.
